All Jammu & Kashmir Shia Association holds preparatory meeting ahead of Muharram

The purpose of the meeting was to understand local concerns, logistical needs, and sentiments from different areas to ensure that the upcoming Ashura procession, which this year will be led by AJKSA, is carried out with dignity, safety, and full religious devotion.

AhlulBayt News Agency: In a significant step towards ensuring a well-organized and spiritually fulfilling Muharram this year, a crucial preparatory meeting of the All Jammu & Kashmir Shia Association (AJKSA) was held at the residence of Haji Firdaus Mirza, AJKSA District President Srinagar and respected community elder.

The meeting was attended by AJKSA Secretary Srinagar Yaseen Mustafa Ali, AJKSA Youth Coordinator Srinagar Arshed Sultan, and designated representatives from various mohallahs across District Srinagar— one from each locality — to gather ground-level feedback ahead of the sacred month of mourning.

The purpose of the meeting was to understand local concerns, logistical needs, and sentiments from different areas to ensure that the upcoming Ashura procession, which this year will be led by AJKSA, is carried out with dignity, safety, and full religious devotion. The feedback collected reflected deep community commitment to upholding the sanctity of Muharram while maintaining discipline and unity.

The comprehensive set of recommendations and observations will now be submitted to President AJKSA Molvi Imran Reza Ansari, under whose visionary leadership the Association has grown stronger and more responsive to the needs of the Shia community. Molvi Imran Ansari, a respected religious scholar and public leader, has always ensured that Muharram arrangements reflect both spiritual depth and community care.

A detailed follow-up meeting will soon be convened by President Ansari at Darul Jawad, Qamarwari, where all senior functionaries of AJKSA — including General Secretary Abid Ansari, and other members — will be officially briefed. The agenda will focus on processional routes, safety measures, community coordination, and government facilitation to ensure a peaceful and spiritually uplifting Muharram.

The All JK Shia Association acknowledges the continued support of the community and thanks all mohallah representatives for their proactive participation. Under the guidance of Molvi Imran Ansari, AJKSA reaffirms its commitment to safeguarding religious traditions and standing united for the rights and respect of the Shia community in Jammu and Kashmir.
